At the outset of this project at Stafford Road, Ellesmere Park, Monton, we identified an opportunity to significantly expand and enhance the property through a carefully planned series of structural additions. The aim was to create additional functional living space while maintaining a cohesive design that integrates seamlessly with the existing home.
To achieve this, we constructed two single rear extensions, providing valuable additional space and improving the overall flow of the property. Alongside these extensions, a new basement was created, adding another level of usable space and maximising the home’s overall footprint.
A key feature of the build was the installation of wet underfloor heating throughout, delivering efficient, evenly distributed warmth across all areas of the property. This system works in harmony with the plaster screed floor finish, which provides a smooth, durable surface while allowing the heating system to perform at optimal efficiency.
Externally, the build was completed with a slate roof finish, ensuring the new structures complement the character of the surrounding property while offering long-lasting durability and weather protection.
The combined effect of these improvements is impressive. The additional extensions and basement have dramatically increased the usable space, while the carefully selected structural and finishing elements ensure the home is not only more functional, but also comfortable and visually cohesive. This project at Stafford Road demonstrates how thoughtful design and quality construction can significantly elevate a property’s living experience.
