At the outset of this project at Pine Grove, Monton, Manchester, we identified an excellent opportunity to extend and enhance the existing home with a carefully planned single rear side and rear extension. The aim was to create additional living space that would integrate seamlessly with the original property while improving natural light, flow, and overall functionality.

To ensure a strong and reliable structure, the extension was constructed on standard foundations, with a block and beam floor system installed to provide a durable and robust base. This method not only ensures long-term performance but also delivers a solid platform ready for high-quality internal finishes.

The build was completed with a flat roof finished in GRP fibreglass, offering a clean, modern look alongside excellent weather resistance and longevity. A key feature of the project was the installation of an aluminium roof lantern, carefully positioned to maximise natural light and create a bright, open atmosphere within the new space. The result is an area that feels spacious, airy, and perfectly connected to the rest of the home.

Internally, the space was finished with stylish and practical LVT (Luxury Vinyl Tile) flooring, chosen for its durability, low maintenance, and contemporary appearance. This finishing touch complements the overall design while ensuring the space remains functional for everyday living.

The combined effect of these improvements is striking. The new extension not only adds valuable square footage but also enhances the home's comfort, usability, and aesthetic appeal.
